Never again! I hired someone who lives a couple of blocks away from us. She’s actually the daughter of an acquaintance of mine. I can’t really say she’s a friend but I do say hi to her when I bump into her in the grocery store.

Anyway, she recommended her daughter and I couldn’t say no. It was a nightmare from the start because she came late and ended up not watching my kids. She was on just watching tv and when I came home, my kids were a mess. After that, I swore to myself that I would never look anywhere else but Sittercity!

You’re right! 😊 There’s no need to share personal information on Sittercity. As a parent who’s signed up, I feel a lot safer that way. The sitters connect with me if I post a job or I contact them on their profile. Everything is pretty straightforward.

I’m on a 3-month membership plan. Unfortunately, it’s almost done. How time flies. In those 3 months, I was able to meet the nicest and most reliable sitters. I don’t think I could have done if I hadn’t joined Sittercity.

Well, I’m not throwing away the 3 months that I’ve spent with Sittercity. I’m now going for the 1-year plan so that I can use their service for a longer time. Besides, the 1-year plan is a lot more practical at $11.67 a month. If you’re wondering why I didn’t go for it right away, well, I wanted to try it out first. Based on my experience, it’s worth it to go for the 1-year plan.

I’m back in the office after working from home for a couple of months. Thanks to Sittercity, I was able to find someone who lives nearby. She’s dropped off by her husband in the morning before I leave. Then I can easily drive her back home at the end of the day. That keeps all of us safe.

In reply to amandap. It's also worth for me. I hire a regular sitter and if I don't avail of the annual plan, I won't know where to find one. It's better to sign up for their annual plan. Just don't forget to use the discount code.

Out of her own initiative, our regular sitter from Sittercity tutors my kids. I appreciate that tremendously especially now that my kids are doing homeschooling.
