I like the variety of sitters on Sittercity. My son has special needs and I never have a hard time finding a sitter who can really care for him. Sittercity has a lot of sitters with special needs background.

The ideal way to find a sitter on Sittercity is to do a search for sitters within the area and go through each profile. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to do that. I’m a single mom with 2 young kids. Life is chaotic for me. So what I usually do is post a job and wait for the sitters reply to it. Most of the time I get a number of replies and that’s the time when I go through their profile. It just works for me that way.

I have a five-year old son who cannot be separated from our pet dog. They are the best of friends. It’s great that I can always find sitters on Sittercity who are more than willing to watch them.

The rates of the sitters are visible on their profile. I’m not sure how it appears on the app but on my web-based account, the rate is on the right-hand side. Now, you will notice that some sitters charge a lot higher than some.

I used to skip those sitters since I didn’t want to spend a lot. But it turns out that some of the sitters with higher rates are actually willing to watch two or more kids are one time. If you’re a mom with more than one kid, those sitters will be perfect for you.

You will know if the sitters are willing to watch more than one kid on the description on their profile. Make sure to read it.

I have been using Sittercity for so long now. My son was just 2 years old when I first signed up. (He’s now 10.) I had to sign up because I was going back to work and my mom couldn’t watch over him. (I was pretty lucky to have been able to stay home for my son’s first two years.) At that time, I learned about Sittercity from a couple of mons I’m friends with online and I thought of giving it a try. I never stopped using it since then.
