Better to be sure. But it really helps that the background checks of the sitters on Sittercity are mostly updated. It helps a lot especially if I’m in a rush to hire a sitter.

I think they’re more serious about childcare now, unlike a couple of years ago when I was a kid. I remember the babysitter my mom would hire was just a couple of years older than me and my sister. Actually, she was more of a playmate than a babysitter. I wouldn’t risk hiring anyone that young now.
