I stick to the standard rate but I usually give a big tip especially when the babysitter does some extra chores without me telling her to.

I make sure my kids say thank you before the babysitter leaves. I know it’s a pretty simple way to show appreciation but I make sure my kids see her off to the door to say thank you properly.
